History About the beginnings of the Support Association German Museum of Agriculture Hohenheim

In 2022, the Support association German museum of agriculture celebrated its 50th anniversary. The foundation of an association in 1972 was the essential prerequisite to promote the existing agricultural museum in Hohenheim to museum with a nationwide claim. The article describes how it came to the opening of an agricultural museum at the university in Hohenheim, tells the prehistory of its sponsoring association and describes the early years of the association until the ceremonial reopening of the German Agricultural Museum in September 1978.
